Way back in early 2012 Grant and Andy MacDonald started Absolute Wilderness because they wanted great tasting food for their outdoor adventures. It didn’t take them long to figure out that everyone else wanted great tasting freeze dried meals too.
One of the first people to realise how awesome Absolute Wilderness meals were was world adventure racing champion Nathan Fa’avae. He brought so many meals we figured it would be cheaper if he just brought part of the company!
Through a combination of Dr Grant MacDonald’s extensive food science expertise, Nathan’s wealth of experience pushing the limits in the outdoors and Andy’s product design skills we’ve created an award winning range of meals that are ultra light, super tasty and full of awesome ingredients.
For us making great tasting food is more than just a job. It’s a passion that drives us, keeps us innovative and ahead of the pack.
If you can’t find us in the factory crafting the worlds best freeze dried meals we’re probably out in the wilderness eating them.
