Did you know New Zealand grown blackcurrants are renowned for their unusually high anthocyanin content?
Anthocyanin’s are the compounds that give blackcurrants their deep purple colour and are an extremely strong antioxidant. That means they have a number of health benefits such as helping your muscles recover from exercise, reducing inflammation, enhancing immunity and improving performance during exercise.
All of the blackcurrants we use in our Blackcurrant Chia Pudding are sourced from a single grower here in Tasman Bay. The grower we work with has focused on growing spray free fruit with super high anthocyanin levels and a great blackcurrant taste. This means our Blackcurrant Chia pudding not only tastes nice its actually good for you too!
