Its no secret that Nelson Tasman is one of the best outdoors spots around. Absolute Wilderness HQ is only an hours drive from some of the world's most stunning beaches, mountains and rivers. When we're not in the factory making meals we spend our time outdoors on adventures.
Our new social media campaign #ourbackyard aims to share photos from the teams favourite spots - all of which are literally on our back doorstep. All the photos have been taken by our very own Andy MacDonald who recently won a high commended in the NZ Geographic Photographer Of The Year awards.

They called this cave Beyond Words because it is. The cave is part of a super remote system in Kahurangi National Park that attracts a handful of cavers every couple of years.
Matai Bay Hut is only a short paddle away but it makes you feel like you’ve got the whole of the Sounds to yourself. The bay is full of lush native bush and the sounds of native birds.
“Don’t judge a beach by it’s name” Mutton Cove in northern Abel Tasman National Park is one of the best in the world. The campsites are literally right on the beach and the views are pristine and uncrowded - exactly why we love visiting it so much!
Some people describe the Molesworth as barren and desolate and you can certainly see why. However on a good day Molesworth Station is one of the best adventure playgrounds in New Zealand.
